Provide Transitional Housing
- A help to those who need it
The SHAWL Organization has two transitional housing facilities that aid women as they are transitioning from the primary 4-month program.
Haviland House
Haviland House provides 6 women a safe and comfortable drug, alcohol and violence-free atmosphere where they can remain an additional 18 months to two years while they are in school and employed and can continue their case management plans to maintain ongoing sobriety and freedom from homelessness and domestic violence.
Residents pay $425 rent and a $25.00 supply fee monthly to live at Haviland House. Residents follow rules established by SHAWL to help maintain the atmosphere of safety
The Cottages
The Cottages can hold up to 5 residents in each cottage where residents can live in a comfortable drug, alcohol, and violence-free atmosphere. Residents can remain an additional 18 months to 2 years while they are in school and employed and they can continue their case management plans to maintain ongoing sobriety and freedom from violence.
Residents pay $350 rent and a $25.00 supply fee monthly to live at Haviland House. Residents follow rules established by SHAWL to help maintain the atmosphere of safety
